I broke 60k words in my YA novel. Now, I’m not one to mistake bulk verbiage for quality writing, at least I hope not, but reaching that little milestone is a fine feeling. Even better, I completed the main plot line (in rough draft only, of course). Now I’m heading back to pound out the secondary plot, which, so far, feels much easier. It’s as if I’ve already laid the groundwork, so this last bit is just a matter of adding flashings and shutters and whatnot to the house that already stands on my little plot.
For a project that involves so much work it really is fun.
