Thirty-six

That’s a good number.  I like that number.  Five weeks ago the circumference of my belly, measuring at the navel, was forty-two inches.  Now, about seventeen (eighteen after a hard workout) pounds later, I’m down to thirty-six.  My stomach no longer eclipses my toes!

I credit Crossfit with these changes.  Next week will be my sixth working out in the local box, and I love it.  It’s worth every sore muscle, every night of hitting the fail wall in endurance and simple fatigue, every drop of sweat that adds to the oceans I’ve left behind.
