A Little Taste of Everything

Growing up, at least from the age of eight or so, I always knew I wanted to be a writer. I always assumed I would write sci-fi/fantasy novels aimed at adults. That’s what I read after all.

But time has changed my tastes. Over the last two years I’ve been dabbling in other genres (a mix thereof anyhow) and with books aimed at young adults and middle grade kids. To my surprise, I love these changes. So much so that I’m thinking of trying at least one novel in each of the major genre types, i.e. mystery, thriller, even mainstream.

How do I know what I like until I’ve tried it?
