The editors of Aphelion Webzine were kind enough to select my short story, The Wheel, as one of their Best Of selections for 2016. Big thanks to them.

I have recently mapped out a plan to create final drafts for each of my completed novels with follow-on plans to write rough drafts for each of my outlines. I think it looks doable.
Yay!
I should do more of both. But my knees hurt when I jog, and my brain aches when I blog. So there.
But I have been maintaining my website. I keep my writing statistics there. I haven’t skipped a day on novel creation in some time.
I built and maintain my own website. Though I don’t claim to be any great shakes at web design, I’ve played around with HTML5 and jQuery long enough that I can get by. Often, it can be a real hassle. I’ve wasted many a precious weekend hour trying to get everything to look just so. But when it all comes together, it’s magic.

Talking about writing is just verbal masturbation. It feels great, but accomplishes little.
I should Tuckerize every person I’ve ever known in one novel. Your fictitious fate will underscore how I feel about you.
My kids are going to be superheroes battling my childhood bullies. 😉

No god ever killed any human over something the human drew. That’s the realm of humanity.
There’s no more a secret formula for writing a great novel than there is a formula for life. Both are too big and messy for that kind of thinking.
I just excised a character from my WIP. It feels like I slammed a door in her face. She was a good character, she simply didn’t fit in the narrative.
It’s okay though. I promised her she could have her own story some time. 😉
